About the Event
__DANCE: IMAGIKA OM
Aural alchemist, music producer, Dj, performer, world traveler, & life artist. Her creations are a fusion between Imagination, music, magic, & Ka—which is a kind of lightbody circuitry bridge between cosmic Source & earth body. Imagikaʻs mystical music has taken her around the world many times, bringing together sounds that span the globe. From Morocco to Egypt, Europe to the Caribbean, Guatemala to Goa, India, she has weaved a magic tapestry of sounds and dance experiences in beautiful environments and lush events.
Imagika is known for activating the dance floor with her DJ style—a potent blend of exotic tribal world-fusion rhythms, live remixed loops and layers that transport the dancer into another realm. Her ecstatic dance journeys flow in deeply delicious ways, running the full spectrum of tempos and genres for soul-body activations. Some of the ingredients in her unique sound palette include exotic, temple trap, tribal primal percussion, mid-tempo heartbeat house, lush Latina bruja beats, ancient future fourth world sounds, ritualistic rhythms, global fusion, organic EDM, deep devotional omstep, shaktifed sound healing bliss, and of course, kundalini-raising bass. Imagika Om brings potent craft with rhythms that bend time and space, where movements ride waves of probability. A cosmic dance into ancient essence, an ecstatic cascade of release.

Diana found asana, mindfulness, and breath in 2006. She has cultivated joy and gratitude, practicing vinyasa, ashtanga, and restorative yoga through injuries, pregnancies, births, deaths, and rebirths of mind, body, and spirit.
She bows deeply to her teachers—Cathy Louise Broda, Brynne Caleda, and Annie Carpenter—who gifted Diana with a practice, on and beyond, the mat, and the tools to share yoga with others. Over the years, she has taught students ages four to 80 in California and Hawaiʻi.
Her practice includes alignment, flow, turning mind off and body/heart/breath on, playing the edge, backing away from it, dialing the heat up, dialing it down, and sinking into a good, long savasana. Diana currently cultivates a home practice and teaches occasionally on Hawaiʻi Island. You can find her at https://www.dianahahn.com/yoga.

This Ecstatic Dance is a safe space for the whole community, an all-ages dance journey space for Mind, Body, and Soul. Music is a language that can carry you deep into the subconscious, beyond barriers you never knew you had, and into colorful worlds of synesthesia where your body becomes the instrument of bliss. The intent is uplifting, dancing that’s good for you on all levels, and a portion of each dance goes to a different local nonprofit each time, so you can feel good about taking steps towards building a healthy community as well. We ask that there be no talking, phones, shoes, food, or beverages on the dance floor, as all our events at the People’s Theatre are drug and alcohol-free.
