About the Event
Heather Kimball and the Hawaii Wildfire Management Organization will make presentation and lead discussion with Q&A regarding the importance of, and factors to be considered in, preparation for Wildfire in the Honokaa/Hamakua Area. Council Member Kimball and the HWMO will be joined by representatives of the Hawaii Fire Department, Hawaii Police Department, Civil Defense, and Vibrant Hawaii. Heather will be joining us by ZOOM from Chicago where she will be attending a federal workshop for County governments.
Councilmember Kimball has asked that the public submit to her email questions which they would like the presenters from the above agencies to address. Heather's email is < Heather.Kimball@hawaiicounty.gov >. I would presume that this invitation would encompass recommendations and statements of interests also.
