Kiah Abendroth returns to the Big Island for an eve with Aaron Loeser on bass, Russell Lundgren drums, and Alex Czerny on piano. Lady Kiah is a third generation female trumpet player. Classically trained on the trumpet, Kiah explores realms of improvisation and innovation with equal measures of loving sweetness and sassy passion. Although Kiah’s training is classical, she also enjoys playing free improvisation, jazz, world, reggae, sacred music, folk and more! Kiah has performed with some incredible artists (Ozomatli, Elijah Ray, Fantuzzi, Amber Lily & Tubby Love) in addition to various chamber orchestras, pit orchestras and jazz ensembles in New York City and around the USA.
