Join a Sacred Sound Event with Kevin Rodriguez and Mahina Lee at the Honoka'a People's Theatre on Sunday, May 13th from 3-6:30pm, honoring our divine mothers in celebration of Mothers Day!
3pm Yoga, $10.
4pm-6:30pm Songcircle, Cacao & Prayerformance $10
We will begin by warming up our bodies and voices with Yoga & Toning with Mahina, then gather for a co-facilitated Sacred Song Circle with Cacao at 4pm, ending with a Prayerformance by Kevin and Mahina at 5:30pm.
Please bring your own yoga mat, a song you may like to share from the heart, instruments and friends! Songs that are easeful for everyone to sing along to are especially welcome. Let's gather and lift our spirits up with songs that remind us who we are and what is most precious to us. Hope to celebrate and resonate with you!
Kevin Rodriguez is based out of Kapoho Hawaii. With a passion for music and space holding for healing experiences with the medicine of cacao, Kevin has been leading devotional song circles for 3 years regionally and internationally. Kevin is driven to help people expand into their hearts and voices in a healing and joyful way, reclaiming our innocence of our voices. With a background in kirtan and medicine music, and creating music for ceremonial settings and healing environments, his highest joy is when we are all singing together as one.
Mahina Lee is a Big Island based devotional singer-songwriter who co-facilitates an ongoing sacred song circle in North Kohala. As a song catcher and deep listener for inner truth, Mahina creates simple and dreamy modern day mantras to open the heart and reclaim our power to create our own reality. She is a carrier of songs that honor the earth and affirm loving awareness and care for all our relations from the kirtan, sufi and rainbow lineages.
Mahina has been a certified Yoga Therapist since 2015 and RYT Yoga Teacher since 2017. She offers a mindfulness based yoga practice exploring the power of the breath and voice to move prana and release tension stored in the body.
